What is fashion?

I finally made the blog that I told you all I would make. And as I sit in my room, at 12:00 AM on a tuesday night, I begin to actually think; "what IS fashion?" To me, fashion is really just an imaginary world created by people based on clothing. Fashion is something that you can make into whatever you want it to be, by dressing however you want to dress. Powerful people in the fashion industry intend to influence you to believe that it is only acceptable to dress a certain way in certain labels at a certain time of year, but why? It's simple; people believe that they are great, so others will think they are great as well, look up to them and do as they say. These fashionable people are simply influencing everyone. And that is why the most powerful people in the fashion industry are where they are today.
